Privacy Policy

Plain English version: this is what data Clippr keeps, why we keep it, and what you can ask us to do with it. We don't sell your data. We don't run ads. Email privacy@clippr.ae with any questions.

Who we are

Clippr is a social media clipping & edits agency at clippr.ae. Publishers post campaigns with per-view payout rates, and Clippers submit clips and get paid as the views roll in.

What we collect

Account

• Discord identity (username, ID, avatar, email).
• UI preferences — theme, default landing page.
• Payout method details if you set one up — PayPal email, crypto wallet address, or Wise/bank info. Only what you choose to share.
• Referral code (auto-generated) and the code of whoever referred you, if any.

Linked socials

To credit views for clips you submit, we need to confirm you own the social accounts you link. Two methods:

• TikTok OAuth — only the scopes you approve: basic profile, profile details, account stats, and public video list metadata. We never post, message, or modify anything.
• Bio-code verification (Instagram / YouTube / X) — we issue a short code, you paste it into your bio for a few minutes, we read the public bio via Apify or yt-dlp. Remove the code after.

We use this only to verify ownership, poll public view/like/comment/share counts on your clips, and attribute campaign performance.

Campaign activity

• Publishers: the campaigns you create (brief, rules, budget, rate, caps) and edits to them.
• Clippers: clips you submit, view-count history, earnings ledger, withdrawal requests.
• Fraud signals we compute on each submission (view-velocity, account age, engagement ratios) to flag suspicious activity.

Nikki conversations

Nikki is our AI assistant — she lives in the chat widget on most pages and runs admin operations on our Discord. If you chat with her, we record the transcript, your account ID, and timestamps.

We keep transcripts to help you faster next time, train Nikki to give better answers, investigate fraud or abuse, and keep a record for legal/compliance purposes.

Technical

• IP, browser user-agent, and timestamps — for session security and abuse prevention.
• Essential cookies only: clippr_session (auth) and clippr_ref (90-day referral attribution). No third-party ads or tracking.

How we use it

• Run the platform: campaigns, submissions, view tracking, earnings, payouts.
• Verify ownership of linked social accounts.
• Message you about your account, campaigns, payouts, and fraud flags.
• Provide support via Nikki + human escalation.
• Detect and stop fake views, bot traffic, and view farming.
• Credit referral rewards.
• Meet legal obligations (tax, disputes, regulatory requests).

Who we share with

We don't sell your data. We share it only with:

• Service providers needed to run Clippr: Discord (auth + community), TikTok (OAuth), Apify and yt-dlp (view counts & bio verification), Cloudflare (CDN/DDoS), the upstream AI providers that power Nikki, and our payment partners (PayPal / crypto / Wise). Each acts under their own privacy policy.
• Publishers whose campaigns you submit to — they see your Clipper username, avatar, the clip URL, and aggregated performance for their campaign. They don't see your email, payout method, IP, or any other campaign data.
• Law enforcement / courts where legally required.

How long we keep it

• Account, ledger, payouts: while your account is active, plus up to 7 years after for tax/legal compliance.
• TikTok OAuth tokens: until you disconnect or they expire.
• Linked social handles & verification status: until you disconnect.
• Clip submissions and view-count history: lifetime of the campaign + 12 months for dispute resolution.
• Nikki transcripts: kept for support/training/legal — deletion on request, subject to legal retention.
• Technical logs: 90 days.
• Referral cookie: 90 days, or until you clear it.

Your rights

You can at any time:

• See the data we hold about you.
• Fix anything inaccurate from your dashboard, or by emailing us.
• Delete your account and personal data, subject to legal retention (e.g. tax records).
• Disconnect any linked social from your dashboard — kills the token, stops new syncing.
• Object to a particular use, or ask us to restrict it.
• Withdraw consent for any optional processing.
• Complain to your local data protection authority.

Email privacy@clippr.ae to use any of these. We respond within 30 days.

Security

HTTPS everywhere, encrypted session cookies, hashed auth tokens, OAuth tokens stored encrypted at rest, access-restricted internal tooling. No system is 100% secure but we work to harden ours.

Children

Clippr is for people 18 and up. We don't knowingly collect data from minors. If you spot one, email us and we'll delete the account.

Where data lives

Our servers are in Europe. If you access Clippr from elsewhere, your data is transferred there.

Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes get posted on the homepage and emailed to the address on file at least 14 days before they take effect.
